Guideline
The Guideline section can be used to select which guideline you want to display in the Calculated AKI Stage and Results sections. You have the option to select between the KDIGO, AKIN, and RIFLE guidelines.

Calculated AKI Stage
The Calculated AKI Stage section displays the UO-based AKI stage (if calculated), the SCr-based AKI stage (if calculated), and the most recent overall AKI stage (taken as the maximum of the stages by UO and SCr). The times for the UO and SCr based AKI stages are displayed below each stage. For more info on the maximum see Guidelines.
AKI stages vary from 1 to 3 with increasing severity shown with Yellow, Orange, and Red. An AKI stage of 0 means the patient did not meet any of the criteria, or the patient does not have AKI, and is shown in Green. An AKI stage of "–" means no stage can be computed or insufficient data is provided.
This section will remain gray until sufficient data is input. Once a score is calculated, this section will display the score.
Note: A green status bar appears when scores are available and when the Calculated AKI Stage is not in view. Tapping the alert will bring you to the Calculated AKI Stage at the top of the page to view the stages.

Patient
The patient section can be used to input patient information such as age, sex, weight, and race.
Note: All input values can be up to two numbers (digits) after the decimal point.

Baselines
Note: All input values can be up to two numbers (digits) after the decimal point.

Input
The Input section can be used to enter new data. Each data entry must have a date/time and can have a UO value, a SCr value, and/or renal replacement therapy use indicator. No two data entries can have the same date/time. New rows can be added to enter more data with the + symbol (upper right) and rows may be removed with the × symbol (left of data row/card). UO and SCr data entries must be values between 0 and 6000 mL for UO and between 0 and 30 mg/dL for SCr.
The UO entered is the value since last measurement or catheter insert time. In order to receive a stage for AKI based on UO, at least 6 hours of UO is needed.
Note: Input data does not need to be entered in any order and will not appear sorted by time.
Note: See Import for how to import and export data into this section from a file.
Note: All input values can be up to two numbers (digits) after the decimal point.

Results
To compare guidelines results, just toggle between the different guideline buttons (right from the Results section).
Graph
The Graph section plots the calculated maximum AKI stage at every date/time entered in the Input section for the selected guideline (RIFLE, AKIN, KDIGO) in chronological order. Only the most recent 48 hours and up to 10 data points are plotted. Data points (markers) on the graph may be clicked or tapped for more information. The fill color below the line represents the most recent maximum AKI stage.
Note: This color also corresponds to the color of the Calculated AKI Stage.
AKI Stage Meaning Color
0 No AKI Green
1 RIFLE Risk or AKIN / KDIGO Stage 1 Yellow
2 RIFLE Injury or AKIN / KDIGO Stage 2 Orange
3 RIFLE Failure or AKIN / KDIGO Stage 3 Red
Table
The Table section displays the AKI stages for all valid data entries in the Input section. Stages are calculated for the selected guideline using Patient, Baselines, and Input data.
Note: See Guidelines for how the maximum stage is computed. If data is entered without all the necessary inputs, no score will be displayed.

Import
The Import section can be used to import input data from a formatted comma-delimited (.csv) file,
download a template
for a formatted file, export input data in this format, and export results.
Note: Import will prompt the user with a warning that current data will be overwritten. To avoid overwritting, please open a New Patient or Export Data first.
Note: When downloading .csv files from Safari on a Mac, the file will be opened in a new tab. To save this file, right-click (or control-click) on the page, and select "Save Page As" and save your file with a desired filename and ".csv" at the end.
